Centre is launching the ULLAS Mobile, during Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Samagam 2023

ULLAS Mobile During Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the presence of Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, aiming to revolutionize education and literacy in India by creating a comprehensive learning ecosystem that bridges gaps in basic literacy and critical life skills, which coincided with 3rd anniversary of NEP 2020.

ULLAS Initiative in details

a.) Aim and Focus

The aim of the initiative is to promote and identify functional literacy, vocational skills, and essential life skills, such as financial literacy, legal literacy, and digital literacy. while serving as a digital Gateway with DIKSHA Portal

b.) For whom this scheme is for

It is primarily designed for citizens aged 15 and above who have missed the opportunity to attend formal schooling. It operates through volunteerism, encouraging individuals to participate as DUTY or Kartavya Bodh towards nation-building.

c.) Incentives

It includes the incentives like credits in school or university, certificates, letters of appreciation, and felicitation.

The Ocassion

On the ocassion of Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Samagam 2023 , at the presence of Union Minister of Education and Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Dharmendra Pradhan the logo was introduced, named  “Jan Jan Sakshar”, and mobile application of the ULLAS: Nav Bharat Saksharta Karyakram.On this ocasssion, he commented that , “ULLAS: Nav Bharat Saksharta Karyakram”, symbolise the campaign’s enthusiasm and vigor in spreading knowledge and education to every corner of the country. The initiative aims to ignite the flame of curiosity and continuous learning in each individual, fostering a culture of knowledge-sharing in communities across India. The Ministry of Education also signed 106 MoUs with various esteemed organizations and institutions to foster innovation, research, and knowledge exchange in multiple domains, ushering in a new era of collaboration in education and industry-academia linkages.The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) signed 15 MoUs with different institutes and sector-skill providers to give a specific focus on skill development and education.
