CMV & ToMV virus affected the crops

Tomato farmers in Maharashtra and Karnataka have been affected by the virus by cucumber mosaic virus ( CMV) and tomato mosaic virus ( ToMV). Farmers in Maharashtra have said their tomato crop was impacted by attacks of the cucumber mosaic virus (CMV), while growers in Karnataka and other South Indian states have blamed the tomato mosaic virus (ToMV) for crop losses. The tomato mosaic virus (ToMV) is a member of the Virgaviridae family and shares a close relationship with the tobacco mosaic virus (TMV), which affects various plants, including tomatoes, tobacco, peppers, and certain ornamental plants. CMV affects the larger group of the plant including cucumber melon, eggplant, tomato, carrot, lettuce, celery, cucurbits (members of the gourd family, including squash, pumpkin, zucchini, some gourds, etc.), and some ornamentals.
