Indian Air Force to participate in Bright Star-23 exercise

Star-23 exercise Indian Air Force (IAF)  had started sending their contingent for participation in the biennial multilateral tri-services exercise Bright Star-23 held in Egypt where troops from counties  US, Saudi Arabia, Greece and Qatar will be present from August 27 to September 16 at the Cairo (West) Air Base. It is 1st time that IAF is participating in this exercise. From IAF the contingent includes five MiG-29, two IL-78s, two C-130 and two C-17 aircraft. Personnel from the IAF’s Garud Special Forces, as well as those from the Numbers 28, 77, 78 and 81 Squadrons

Exercise Bright Star-23

Exercise Bright Star-23’s objective is to increase the number of joint operations while sharing experiences and challenges with all participating air forces. The IAF contingent is known as “Diplomats in Flight Suits.” They are entrusted with engaging with traditional military engagements, while projecting as ambassadors of their country, with a commitment to cooperation, collaboration, and mutual growth on the global stage.
