Hai Yang 24 Hao visited Sri Lanka Recently, the Chinese warship named Hai Yang 24 Hao visited Colombo Port where it is scheduled to remain at sea till August 12th, following the strained Indo-Lanka relations due to diplomatic tensions with India. Against the allegation to India’s diplomatic, visits had been approved in accordance with diplomatic protocols, where they had followed “standard operating procedure”. For a long period of time, China had been actively engaged with Sri Lanka ports, such as Hambantota and Colombo partnered with the China Merchants Group to construct a logistics complex at Colombo Port

The Chinese Warship Hai Yang 24 Hao which is a ballistic missile and satellite tracking ship arrived in the southern Sri Lanka port of Hambantota. The Sri Lanka government released a statement in the press where they said that the vessel that docked at Colombo measures 129 meters in length and has a crew of 138 members, led by Commander Jin Xin. The ship is planned to set sail from the nation’s shores tomorrow despite protests from India and the US.
