On August 27 to 29, the World Innovation Award was awarded for outstanding contribution to Sustainable Development Goal-4 which is ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting lifelong opportunities for all. The other 2 runners-up of the award are the Municipal Minister of Education of Sao Paulo in Brazil and Saif Al-Hiddabi, Undersecretary of Research and Innovation at the Ministry of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation in Oman. Shanta Thoutam has completed the  7 years of her service in the Telangana government, where she has been in the role of Vice President at T-Hub, then Officer on Special Duty (OSD) for State Handlooms and Textiles Department while being the first woman Chief Information Officer She has been awarded for the Command Control Center in Hyderabad that captures the visual data captured from 1 lakh CCTV cameras, and Open Data Portal that hosts data sets in the public domain. This award is awarded by the World Organisation for Development, an international NGO with Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic & Social Council and this award is awarded to leaders from the developing world who have made an outstanding personal contribution to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals through a systematic effort to implement innovative solutions.
