Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Kendras The Indian Railway is going to establish Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Kendras across The Country to provide health care facilities in the country & to provide availability of top-notch medicines at the affordable price point. For this purpose, the ministry made a list of fifty railway stations for their pilot project, where at one news reporting, in Patna, they are going to establish Kendra at Patna, Darbhanga and Katihar junctions

At present, the price of  Jan Aushadhi Medicines is cheaper at least by 50% and in some cases, by 80% to 90% of the market price of branded medicines, which include  1759 medicines and 280 surgical & consumables. At present date, the Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Kendras (PMBJKs) are functional across the country in 36 States/UTs covering all districts of the country.  Union Minister for Labour and Employment and Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Bhupender Yadav released a statement to the press that medicines at the centre are available at these centres at low prices and sanitary pads are made available at cheaper at Jan Aushadhi Kendras for convenience of women
