After the win in the past election, Hun Sen was appointed as the new leader, after his father Hun Sen four decades of rule, where the ruling Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) won some 120 of 125 parliamentary seats. In the press realase, Han Sen said the ruling Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) won some 120 of 125 parliamentary seats In a royal decree, King Norodom Sihamoni appointed Dr Hun Manet as the prime minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia for the 7th mandate of the parliament.

Cambodia appointed  Hun Sen’s son as the new head of the country after 4th decades of rule, as the outgoing Premier promised. Through the passing of the decree issued by King Norodom Sihomini, he was appointed as the prime minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia as 7th mandate of the parliament. Manet, the eldest son of Hun, led the election campaign of the Cambodian People’s Party which won 121 seats in the 125-seated parliament, where he is currently deputy commander-in-chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces and Commander of the Royal Cambodian Army.
