Operation Kaveri initiated for the safe return of Indian nationals from Sudan

Operation Kaveri India with the embassy in Sudan had initiated for safe haven of the Indian nationalist to their home country, to get back to their country from Sudan.

Operation Kaveri, named after the Kaveri River, which is one of the major rivers in India India had deployed a series of team officials including officers from the Ministry of External Affairs, the Indian embassy in Sudan, and the Indian Air Force. They had reached the country Sudan through Indian Navy’s INS Sumedha, a stealth offshore patrol vessel, and two Indian Air Force C-130J special operations aircraft on standby in Jedda. According to the External Affairs Minister of India, Dr. S. Jaishankar 370 Indians have already returned safely through Operation Kaveri.

At present, Sudan is currently experiencing a violent power struggle between the army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) across the country. after a new civilian government, four years after the overthrow of authoritarian leader Omar al-Bashir and 2 years after a military coup.
