Monitoring App for Seamless Inspection (MASI) developed by the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) For real-time monitoring of Child Care Institutions (CCIs) and their inspection process across India had been developed by National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) where the aim is to the monitoring of the system by various authorities, including Child Welfare Committees (CWCs), State Inspection Committees, District Inspection Committees, Members of Juvenile Justice Boards (JJBs) and State Commissions for Protection of Child Rights (SCPCRs)  as laid down under the JJ Act, 2015.  The complete reports are automatically generated on the Monitoring App for Seamless Inspection (MASI) Portal as soon as the questionnaire is filled out and submitted by the authority, where at present 4268 inspections, as of 24.07.2023, have been completed on the MASI Portal by 32 States/UTs. This information was given by the Minister of Women and Child Development, Smt. Smriti Zubin Irani, in a written reply in Rajya Sabha.

MASI functions as a single platform for inspecting Child Care Institutions (CCIs) nationwide, allowing different authorities to conduct inspections together. The system is connected to a monitoring portal that creates instant reports, providing real-time updates on CCI status. Both before and after inspection cycles, regular follow-ups are carried out to ensure adherence to the Juvenile Justice Act and its rules. MASI operates smoothly using a questionnaire filled out by authorities through the app. Once submitted, the system generates detailed reports on the monitoring portal, offering a complete picture of CCI conditions.
