NSAP – Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension Scheme Indira Gandhi National Disability Scheme was launched by the Ministry of Rural Development for affordable and accessible better India, where all those who are 80% or more disabled can avail of this scheme.

Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension Scheme aim at providing the person with a disability ( PWDs) between the age group 18 to 79, who have 80% or more disability or multiple disabilities. and those who belong to households classified as Below Poverty Line ( BPL).

NSAP – Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension Scheme-Funding

The Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension Scheme ( NSAP) is fully funded by GOI with beneficiaries receiving a monthly pension of Rs 300/- where in additional State government supplements this amount by providing Rs 200/- per month to all beneficiaries under the  Integrated National Disability Pension Scheme (IGNDP).

The programme was first launched on 15th August 1995 as a Centrally Sponsored Scheme.
Currently, It has five components:
