Agri-food startup ‘ Farmers Fresh Zone’ recognised by the UN

Farmers Fresh Zone An agricultural food startup, Farmers Fresh Zone has been recognised by United Nations for its unique module and practices, hosted by the SDG Agri-food Accelerator programme and Farmers Fresh Zone. AgriTech D2C and (farm-to-fork as a SaaS) CEO Pradeep P S said “India is the second largest country in agriculture production and we, at Farmers Fresh Zone, are super proud to represent as the only one from India at a global forum…,”

Among the 12 agri-food start-ups, Farmers Fresh Zone (Farmers FZ), a Kochi-based start-up, had been selected by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations for the SDG Agrifood accelerator programme. The Kochi-based multichannel marketplace platform functions under the Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) (a nodal agency of the Kerala government for entrepreneurship development and incubation activities in the state.), where it won FAO recognition for its Sustainable Way of Doing Business model. It is low on carbon emissions and does not waste food by implementing the principle of Farm to Fork as SaaS (Software-as-a-Service )bridging the gap between rural farmers and urban consumers.
