Champions Group of Global Crisis Response Group India had right now become a member of the Champions Group of Global Crisis Response Group signify the growing importance of India in global leadership and commitment.

At the invitation of the UN General, India recently joined the Champions Group of the Global Crisis Response Group which is made for the purpose of addressing urgent global issues in food security, energy and finance and coordinating a global response. The Global Crisis Response Group (GCRG) is set up by UNSG is set in March 2022, to address urgent and critical global issues of global poor. Sanjay Verma, Secretary ( West) who was formerly in the Ministry of External Affairs had been chosen as representative to the GCRG process. The Group currently consists of includes heads of governments/states from Bangladesh, Barbados, Denmark, Germany, Indonesia, and Senegal.
