Defence Ministry of Argentina to have collaborated with HAL

In collaboration with Indian defence and fostering cooperation between the two parties, the Defence Minister of Argentina named  Jorge Taiana signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited in  Bengaluru. The 2 parties had collaborated with each other for the acquisition of Light and Medium Utility Helicopters for the armed forces of Argentina. Since 2019, India and Argentina have promoted their relations to the level of a Strategic Partnership. As part of this partnership, an MoU on defence cooperation has been in effect.
