Taiwan Launches 3rd Office in India: Increasing the Cooperation of the India-Taiwan Relationship, Taiwan announced its decision to open its third representative office in India in Mumbai.

Taiwan Economic and Cultural Center (TECC)

In order to increase the cooperation and coordination between the 2 countries, Taiwan Economic and Cultural Center (TECC)opened in 3rd office in Mumbai, aiming to facilitate trade, and investment, and provide various services to Taiwanese nationals and Indian businesspeople and tourists. Starting in the year of 1995, the 2 countries established the  India-Taipei Association (ITA) in Taiwan and the Taipei Economic and Cultural Center (TECC) in New Delhi, serving as de facto embassies for both nations, where 2012 they further expanded their presence by establishing the TECC in Chennai, which became a thriving hub for Taiwanese firms. Former Indian Ambassador to China and Director of the Institute of Chinese Studies, Ashok Kantha welcomed this new office in Mumbai, as it is the major economic center in western India.
