Delhi Service Bill Passed National Capital Territory of Delhi passed the controversial Services Bill with the support of 131 votes in the Rajya Sabha on Monday evening, replacing an existing ordinance that has caused conflicts between the Aam Aadmi Party, led by the Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and the Central Government. 1st introduced by the Union Home Minister, Amit Shah, in the Lok Sabha on August 3, 2023, which was passed by the Lok Sabha on August 6, 2023, and by the Rajya Sabha on August 7, 2023. Through passed litigation, it gives the central government control over the appointment, transfer, and posting of all bureaucrats in the Delhi government.

After an extensive 8-hour debate, Union Home Minster Amit Shah moved the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (Amendment) Bill, 2023 in Rajya Sabha, which replaced the ordinance on transfers and postings of senior officers in the Delhi government with 131 votes in favour against 102.
