Puneet Chandok Corporate Vice President of Microsoft India and South Asia Puneet Chandok where will take over the rein of Microsoft operations from Anant Maheshwari. He will be leading the business in  Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal, and Sri Lanka. Puneet aims to strengthen Microsoft’s presence in the region.

This appointment will be significant during the period of cloud technology and digital innovation for Microsoft, including networks in India generating high cloud revenue, and investments in local infrastructure, such as a new data centre in Hyderabad ( In India alone, Microsoft data centre regions have added 1.5 million jobs to the economy over five years, including 169,000 new skilled IT positions). His appointment will be significant to strengthen Microsoft’s presence in the region and focus on key industries of developed and developing regions of the world. “Puneet joins Microsoft from Amazon Web Services, where he led the company’s India and South Asia businesses, working closely with enterprises, digital businesses, startups, and SMBs to help them reduce technical debt, bring in agility, and innovate,” one of the sources said
