108th Zoological Survey of India Union Minister for Environment & Forest and Climate Change and Labour and Employment Bhupender Yadav with Union Minister of State for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Shri Ashwini Kumar Choubey Director General of Forests and Special Secretary, Shri Chandra Prakash Goyal, Director, Zoological Survey of India (ZSI) Dr Dhriti Banerjee and Director, Botanical Survey of India (BSI), Dr Ashiho Asosii Mao had addressed the Zoological Survey of India for 108th glorious years dedicated to the life of better flora and fauna of the country.

As part of the celebration, there was the inauguration of the 2-day Animal Taxonomy Summit, where there are 400 delegates from India and the world including the Natural History Museum, London, participated in the show. Addressing the Summit, the Union Minister for Environment & Forest and Climate Change and Labour and Employment Bhupender Yadav addressed and said that we as humans need to protect the Indian faunal diversity while busting the myth of human superior nature. With it he also celebrated the signing of the 108 number, while denoting the cycle of 108 repetitions Japamala, focusing on the sounds, vibration and meaning. It also described the number as 54 letters in the Sanskrit alphabet, each having a masculine and feminine feature.
