The Ministry of Law and Justice appointed new chief justices in 5 high courts

Ministry of Law and Justice In a recent release, the Ministry of Law and Justice approved the appointment of new Chief Justices in five High Courts.

In the notification released, the Ministry of Law and Justice approved the appointment of Chief Justices of the High Courts of Uttarakhand, Telangana, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan and Guwahati. The Chief Justice of the Uttarakhand High Court will be Justice Vipin Sanghi of the Delhi High Court, while the Chief Justice of the Telangana High Court will be Justice Ujjal Bhuyan of the Telangana High Court. The Chief Justice of the Himachal Pradesh High Court will be Justice Amjad Ahtesham Sayed of the Bombay High Court. The Chief Justice of the Rajasthan High Court will be Justice Shinde Sambhaji Shiwaji of the Bombay High Court. The Chief Justice of the Gauhati High Court has been named Justice Rashmin M Chhaya of the Gujarat High Court. Satish Chandra Sharma, Chief Justice of the Telangana High Court, has been appointed to the Delhi High Court As per the notification, the acting chief justice of the Bombay High Court Justice Sanjay Vijaykumar Gangapurwala as the chief justice of the Madras High Court. Whereas Justice Ramesh Deokinandan Dhanuka is the chief justice of the Bombay High Court. Justice Dhanuka who is the present judge of the Bombay High Court. He is due to demit office on May 30, upon attaining the age of 62 and will have a tenure as Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court of effectively four days.

  • Uttarakhand High Court – Justice Vipin Sanghi of the Delhi High Court will be appointed as the Chief Justice of the Uttarakhand High Court.
  • Gauhati High Court – Gujarat High Court judge Rashmin Manharbhai Chhaya has been appointed Gauhati Chief Justice. 
  • Telangana High Court – Telangana High Court judge Ujjal Bhuyan has been appointed Chief Justice of the Telangana High Court.
  • Himachal Pradesh High Court – Bombay High Court Chief Justice AA Sayed has been appointed Himachal Pradesh High Court Chief Justice.
  • Rajasthan High Court – Bombay High Court Justice SS Shinde has been appointed Rajasthan High Court Chief Justice.
