Indian Air Force Gets Israeli Spike Missiles named Spike Non-Line of Sight (NLOS)

Spike Non-Line of Sight (NLOS) Recently, the Indian army received Isareli’s Spike Non-Line of Sight (NLOS) which can hit targets up to 50 km from a helicopter and 32 km from the ground. The acquired NLOS missiles will be integrated with the fleet of Russian-origin Mi-17V5 helicopters, manufactured by Kazan Helicopters. A limited quantity of Spike NLOS ATGMs has been placed on order, where the intent is to produce a substantial amount of these missiles through the “Make-in-India” approach, later.

To boast the capability of the Indian army, The IAF had got Israeli Spike Non-Line of Sight (NLOS) which can go up distances up to 30 km, where it is going to be integrated with the Russian-origin fleet of Mi-17V5 helicopters which would be able to take out targets from long ranges and can prove to be very effective against enemy targets and assets hidden behind mountains or hills. The IAF had shown interest in these missiles almost 2 years ago after the Chinese Army deployed a large number of tanks and infantry combat vehicles close to the Line of Actual Control (LAC) Spike is in the family of anti-tank missiles made by Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, an Israeli state-run company where missiles can strike targets at a maximum range of 50 km when launched from helicopters
