Union Home Minister Amit Shah lays the foundation of the first cooperative-run Sainik School

1st cooperative-run Sainik School Union Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the Shri Motibhai R Choudhury Sagar Sainik School in Mehsana, Gujarat first cooperative-run Sainik School in India.

 With an estimated cost of Rs 75 crore and spread across 11 acres of land, The Home Ministry started the schools which will duly be managed by Dudh Sagar Research and Development Association (DURDA), an entity of Dudh Sagar Dair. As per school authorities the academics will start from the year 2022-2023 with a student strength of 50 students(10 per cent reservation for girls), comprising 46 boys and 4 girls, in the prestigious Sagar Sainik School, where they are seeking to expand its capacity for the academic year 2023-2024. The Foundation stone is laid by the state government. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Health Minister Rishikesh Patel, Industries Minister Balwant Singh Rajput, and Cooperation Minister Jagdish Panchal
