Maharashtra Government initiated Bhagwan Birsa Munda Jodaraste Scheme to Connect Tribal Villages with Main Roads

Bhagwan Birsa Munda Jodaraste Scheme The Maharastra government introduced the Bhagwan Birsa Munda Jodaraste Scheme whose purpose is to connect tribal villages in 17 districts of Maharashtra state with main roads. The project, estimated cost is Rs 5,000 crore, involves the construction of approximately 6,838 kilometres of roads.

Bhagwan Birsa Munda Jodaraste Scheme

On the 18th of August 2023, the Maharashtra government announced the Bhagwan Birsa Munda Jodaraste Scheme, aimed at improving road connectivity in tribal areas of the 17 districts of the state.  The scheme will be implemented by a separate committee of the tribal development of the Public Works Department of the state. Under this scheme, the state government has undertaken to connect all the tribal palaces to the perennial main road, to perennialize all the 8-month roads in the tribal sub-plan area and where they are connecting all the primary health centres and ashram shalas in the tribal sub-plan area to the main road.
