About the SVAMITVA (Survey of Villages Abadi and Mapping with Improvised Technology in Village Areas)  scheme

Started in the year of the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India on National Panchayat Day in 2020, it is a central sector scheme. It includes mapping of land through the use of drones or through the providence of a ‘Record of Rights’ to village household owners with the issuance of legal ownership cards (Property cards/Title deeds) to the property owners.  It is run by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, the State Revenue Department, the State Panchayati Raj Department and the Survey of India

  1. Help rural residents use their property for loans and financial benefits, improving their financial stability.
  2. Create accurate land records for better rural planning and property tax determination.
  3. Support the preparation of improved Gram Panchayat Development Plans, reducing property disputes and legal cases.
